{1} and {2} of fifty

Gracie posted about these questions she got from Emily and I wanted to answer some of them. There are 50 questions that I thought would be good writing material!
I wasn't able to find the original questions from Emily so I googled and found them here:

[1]
How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?

I think this is such a great question. There are times when I feel like I'm 10, ha. And there are other times when I feel a lot older than I really am, especially dealing with some of the people I do on a regular basis.

But I really feel like I would be 20 years old. Now, granted, that is 3 years younger than I am right now, but I don't feel like I am 23 years old. I look at some of my classmates or other twenty-three year old individuals and I don't feel like I am on their level. Does that make sense?

When I was twenty years old I was becoming someones fiance and starting to plan a wedding. So there are times when I feel a lot older than I am, but also times when I feel a lot younger than I am. Definitely a weird place to be...

I am happy where I am in my life at the age I am.

Which is worse, failing or never trying?

Never trying is worse than actually failing. When you fail, you actually tried to do or work toward something.
My husband has always told me, "The worse thing a person can tell you is no." Granted, at that moment you may feel like that that "no" answer is awful, but afterwards you pick yourself up and keep trying.
If you didn't even try or ask for something, how do you know it could have worked. Its the never trying part that is worse.

If you fail at something, keep trying until you get the outcome you desire.

...Keep checking back for my answers to these questions..

For Future Pregnancies

I love reading blogs and watching videos on YouTube directed more towards mothers to be and the mommy blogs and things like that. When these woman find out they are pregnant they chronicle their growing belly with pictures and questions about their growing baby. So I thought I would publish/post the questions that I have seen out there, so that when the time comes for me to chronicle our growing baby and my growing belly I have a specific place to find the questions.

Here are the questions that I have seen and heard that moms-to-be answer. If the time comes and some don't really need to be answered or it just isn't as interesting as I had thought, then I will delete and modify. On the other hand, if I find some questions that I think should be answered, I will add that to this list.

How far along?
How big is baby?
Total weight gain/loss?
Maternity clothes?
Stretch marks?
Sleep?
Best moment of this week?
Have you told family and friends?
Miss anything?
Movement?
Food cravings?
Anything making you queasy or sick?
Have you started to show yet?
Gender/Gender prediction?
Labor signs?
Belly button in or out?
Wedding rings on or off?
Happy or moody most of the time?
Looking forward to?
Weekly Wisdom?
Milestones?

If you certainly want to answer these questions for your pregnancy, you can definitely use these questions!

August 11th: Happy Birthday Dustin!

On August 11th , my wonderful husband turned 25 years old. For his birthday Dustin decided he wanted to go to Valleyfair. We left around 7:15am on Saturday morning to make it to Valleyfair around 11:30am. Also that day the Minnesota Twins were playing a game that night at 6:10 pm.

My grandparents, my brother Cody, my sister and her boyfriend, and my aunt and uncle and their 2 girls, Abby and Annie, all were going to the game!  We had plans to meet up with them at the game after we were done with Valleyfair.

Once Dustin and I were in line for the first ride, the High Roller, we thought we were going to have to call my family to let them know that we wouldn't be able to make it to the game because we stood in line for a long time, on the very first ride! We thought all of the lines were going to be outrageous with waiting in line, so we didn't think we were going to make it to the Twins game that night. We were able to make all of the rides we wanted to go on and make it to the game on time. We luckily always got in line right before everyone decided to get in line for the rides, so that made it easier to try all of the rides we wanted!

On the Wild Thing, Dusty's favorite, they take your picture, so we kissed each other while the camera took it.

The rides we went on were: High Roller, Excalibur, Corkscrew, Power Tower, Steel Venom (TWICE!), Wild Thing, and Renegade (sooo fast!).

We headed to the baseball game at about 4:30pm. It took us about 30 minutes to get to Target Field. The Twins lost but we had a great time with our family! After the game we headed back home and got in to town around 2am. It was a long day, but so much fun!

Dustin and I had so much fun and I am so glad we have this wonderful memory with each other. I also can't wait to be able to take our children there and have them experience all of the fun at Valleyfair!!

August 4th and 5th: Baseball Weekend

The weekend of August 4th and 5th, Dustin and I headed to my brothers baseball tournament.
Cody was selected as one of the 13 year old all star players to play in this tournament. My dad and step mother were there as well as my grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousins.

On our way to the games we saw a bunch of motorcycles headed
to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
We were wanting to head there too.

The teams first game was on Friday night, but Dustin and I were unable to make it to that game as it wasn't able to work with our work schedules. So we got up early on Saturday and headed out to watch Cody play. Cody played on Saturday at 10:30 and 3:30 and won both of those games! It was great to be able to see him play. Cody played catcher most of the game!

The first game the Rapid City Blue won 10-6 (if I remember correctly). And the second game at 3:30 they won 7-4. So with both wins they were headed to play on Sunday morning to see who the champion would be! That game was at 9:00am, so Dustin and I drove about an hour to my grandparents house and stayed there on Saturday night.

Annie enjoying baseball.
I always love staying at my grandparents farm. It is always so nice to stay with them since we don't get to see them to often. My aunt and uncle and their 2 girls, Abby and Annie, stayed there as well. My dad also came back to the farm to stay and cooked some steak.
Sweet Abby.

So on Sunday morning we headed out at 8am and made it to the first game. This game would either put them at playing at 1:00 or 5:00 for the championship. The Rapid City Blue ended up playing at 1:00 for the 3rd/4th place games. Cody's team got 4th place, but also received a sportsmanship award! I thought that was really cool!

It was a great weekend and I am so glad that we got to see Cody play baseball but also that we were able to see some of our family too.  Dustin and I always have a blast hanging out with our family, so we didn't expect anything less this weekend!

Behind!

It has been over a week since I started this blog and posted. I feel horrible. I had told myself that I wanted to keep up with the blog and now I'm already behind.

I have a many posts swirling in my head so I want to get those on "paper" soon.

My husband and I are headed to Valleyfair at the moment for his birthday. After a few hours there then we are headed to a Twins game with my family. It will be fun.

I still have last weekends post with pictures to get up to. All about baseball and my brother!

I haven't forgot about the blog, just needing to find time and prioritize!

Talk soon.

First Blog Post!

WOW! This is my first blog, EVER! I am quite excited to be able to have a place to share my thoughts and ideas. This will be a personal blog: a place where I can share my days, weekends with my husband, and other fun things! :)
Hopefully, this will also be the place that I share our pregnancy journey(s) and our life as parents. Before that I want a place to write down all types of information I have researched and found for pregnancy and being a first time parent. Just to have a place to keep everything!

Because I am sitting in a Principles of Management class at the moment, I am going to cut this post short. I will post again soon, probably with an introduction post and pictures.

Thanks for reading!

xoxo Cassi

P.S. Maybe my sister will write some posts every once in a while too! :) :)
